In this podcast, Nir Eyal shares a simple yet powerful story from a transcontinental flight that reveals one of the biggest mistakes salespeople and marketers make every single day. We keep pushing our product, sending emails, running ad campaigns and wonder why nobody is paying attention. The truth is, your customer does want what you are selling. You just need to show up at the right moment.

<media:description>What if everything you thought about pain was wrong? Buddhism has understood for thousands of years that pain and suffering are not the same thing. Pain is just a signal. Suffering is the interpretation you place on that signal. The same sore arms and racing heart that would send you to the ER feel completely normal after a good workout, because context changes everything. If you can change how you interpret pain, you can change how much you suffer. This one shift in perspective changes everything.

<media:description>What if everything you see isn’t actually real?

In this podcast, Nir Eyal (Former Stanford professor &amp; New York Times best selling author) reveals a mind-blowing truth about how our brain works. At any moment, your brain is processing around 11 million bits of information, but your conscious mind can only handle about 50 bits per second. That means what you call “reality” is just a tiny fraction of what actually exists. Your brain filters everything else and shows you a limited version of the world, creating a kind of simulation based on your attention.

<media:description>Why do expensive products feel better, even when they are not?

In this podcast, Nir Eyal shares a fascinating Stanford experiment where people tasted the same wine twice but believed one was more expensive. Surprisingly, their brain activity showed they actually enjoyed the “expensive” wine more.

This reveals a powerful truth about human psychology. Perception shapes reality.

Brands don’t just sell products. They shape how you experience them.
From luxury goods to everyday apps, this concept explains why pricing, branding, and storytelling matter more than we think.

In this short, Nir Eyal breaks down the psychology behind doomscrolling and how variable rewards keep your brain hooked. When you do not know what comes next, your brain stays engaged and keeps scrolling. That uncertainty is what makes it addictive.

VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
Over the past few weeks, Diet Coke has quietly disappeared from shelves across India, and Gen Z has been freaking out. When I tried to find out why, the answer sounded absurd: an “aluminium shortage.” That makes no sense on the surface. India is the world’s second-largest aluminium producer, with enough high-quality bauxite reserves to last roughly 350 years and some of the lowest labour costs globally. On paper, India should be the Saudi Arabia of aluminium.

But this isn’t just about soft-drink cans. The same pattern repeats across industries. We’re called the “pharmacy of the world,” yet we import around 70% of our active pharmaceutical ingredients from China. We are one of the largest producers of iron ore, yet we import specialty steel for our own bullet trains. We are the fourth-largest producer of rare earths, yet we don’t have a single commercial-scale rare-earth magnet factory.

This paradox exposes a deeper weakness in India’s growth story. Why are we importing aluminium cans from Sri Lanka when we have centuries’ worth of aluminium reserves? And more importantly, how is the government led by Narendra Modi supposed to fix this structural problem?

VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
After the 9/11 attacks, one of the most shocking revelations was that the United States already had many of the warning signs. Flight school records of the hijackers were known. Suspicious money transfers had been flagged. Several names were already on watchlists, and their travel patterns had raised alarms weeks before the attacks. So how did the most powerful country on earth still fail to stop it? The official explanation pointed to a massive intelligence breakdown: the CIA could not easily share data with the FBI, and the NSA operated in its own silo. Each agency held a piece of the puzzle, but no one could see the full picture.

Around that time, thousands of miles away, a legendary investor quietly wrote a $30 million check to build an extremely secretive company. For nearly a decade, it had no press, no public clients, and almost no public visibility. Today, that same company is worth hundreds of billions of dollars, and its software is deeply embedded inside U.S. intelligence operations. That company is Palantir Technologies — one of the most controversial tech firms in the world. Its platforms have been used to detect fraud before it happens, support military intelligence, map the spread of COVID inside hospitals, and reportedly assist the hunt for Osama bin Laden.

The bigger story is that this is not just about software. It is about a powerful way of thinking — a mental model that helped turn a secret startup with no customers into a global data powerhouse. The real question is how this company became the hidden brain behind intelligence operations, how it turned global crises into a massive business empire, and what lessons from the Palantir playbook can be applied to building a company, a career, or even a life.

VIDEO INTRODUCTION:
Ladies and Gentlemen, on April 16, 2026, the Indian government introduced three bills, out of which one bill caused a raging political debate in the Parliament of India. This bill could fundamentally redraw the political map of the largest democracy on Earth. Since 1971, the Lok Sabha has had only 543 seats. At that time, India had 550 million people. Today, we have 1.4 billion. The population has nearly tripled, but the seats have remained exactly the same. Now, the Modi government wants to increase that number to 850. Sounds reasonable, right? More people need more representatives, which will lead to better governance. But as it turns out, there is something deeply problematic about this bill.
The southern parties of India fear that this one decision could permanently shift political power from India’s richest and most developed states to some of the poorest states in the country. They also fear that the states that did everything right, the states that controlled their population, invested in education, and built world-class economies, will be punished for doing well. This is the reason why there was massive outrage from the southern states of India against the government.
This is the story of how one bill turned into India’s biggest North vs South battle. So the question is: which bills were introduced in Parliament? What is so controversial about this one bill that MK Stalin burned copies of it? And why is this bill so critical for the future of India? Before I explain why southern chief ministers are literally burning copies of this bill, you need to understand a decision made 50 years ago.

👉 Video Introduction

Most people think the US dollar will rule the world forever.
But what if the country that printed $3.3 trillion since 2020 and invaded Iraq while the world cheered is actually heading toward collapse?

In 1976, British general Sir John Glubb published The Fate of Empires. He studied 11 empires across 3,000 years. Every single one lasted roughly 250 years.
America was founded in 1776.

Today, Balaji Srinivasan sits down with us to break down how and why the American empire is ending. Former CTO of Coinbase, former GP at Andreessen Horowitz, Stanford PhD, angel investor in 100+ startups, and author of The Network State. He called Bitcoin, remote work, mRNA vaccines, and the pandemic years before the mainstream caught on.

In this episode, he explains how the world's most powerful economy is silently collapsing, and why the next decade belongs to countries like India, powered by technology, talent, and thorium.
What you'll learn:

- How the American empire peaked on September 10, 2001
- Why dollar inflation is a global tax, and what Milton Friedman said about it
- The petrodollar: oil-for-dollars, one of history's most profitable business models
- Glubb's 250-year rule, and why 2026 fits the pattern of every empire that fell
- Why Bangalore now beats San Francisco to live in
- What Indians and the diaspora must do right now to ride this shift

If you're an entrepreneur, investor, policymaker, or student, this episode will change how you see America, the dollar, and India's place in the next century.
